I've been wanting to write a substantive post on control for the last couple of weeks. I'm constantly stumbling across the need of so many people for absolute control in too many areas... and the death that control brings. But, since the Muse has momentarily departed - and that moment seems like an eternity - I thought I'd quote William Blake with the only poem I remember from my high school days - a millenium ago.
He who binds himself to a joy
Doth the winged life destroy
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in Eternity's sunrise
With a comment to those who "have all the answers." You don't. Get over yourselves.
UPDATE: David Hayward's cartoon just seems to fit.
UPDATE 2: Read Ron Cole's good post here on the desire of certain denoms to police blogs.
UPDATE 3: Bruce Gerencser adds to the discussion on his blog (as well as in the comments).
Aside: I have quoted Blake once before.
